Unfortunately my friend, Eric, and I, had to cancel our channeling session at The Center today because of a lovely winter storm. Yay to Canadian winters. But assuming the weather behaves, we should be able to hold it in two weeks! I can’t wait!
I should honestly be asleep right now, since I work tomorrow morning, but oh well! I decided to try listening to a guided meditation track to try to sleep easier which if you’re interested you can find here. But I got hooked on the idea to do a blog post on imagination and daydreaming so here I am!
Tonight I’m working with my spirit guide, Kaine. 🙂
Why is imagination so important?
Imagination is so important because it is such a wonderful tool for you to use to connect with your higher self and your inner child. It’s a gateway to your creativity and inspiration. We would love to see you take some time to just daydream.
Think of your imagination like your dream world. You are able to do anything and everything, you know no limits nor no boundaries. There are no exceptions to what you are able to do in your mind, whether it is when you are awake or asleep. If you feel as if you do not have anything interesting enough to daydream about or you are ‘not good’ at thinking up exciting situations then we ask that you just let go of that idea. Just begin by imaging a situation which would be exciting to you, and then allow the daydream to play out as you follow what feels the most exciting and happy to you. When you relax while you are daydreaming and allow the energy to move smoothly you will find you will be able to more easily receive the messages that are waiting for you. Again, these messages could be as simple as an idea or a thought, or even a ‘made up’ conversation with someone in your dream. You will receive your messages in the way that best suits you.
Daydreaming and your imagination can be used as a way to recenter yourself and provide balance when you are unsure about something in your life. But it also fun to just play around with when you feel you are happy with your current situation. We will always suggest that you explore your creativity when you are happy and joyful because this will lead to even further excitement and growth for you.
What advice do you have for those who have a difficult time trusting the messages they receive while daydreaming?
When you are evaluating whether you can trust or believe in the messages you received from your daydream we ask that you take a moment and ask yourself this question: Does what I just experienced resonate with me? Does it feel true to you whether it happened in your physical reality or not? Did you gain a new perspective or piece of information that has inspired you?
What advice do you have for people who have a difficult time with the idea of daydreaming and exploring their imagination?
We have much advice to give. The simplest is to let go of all of your previous beliefs about what daydreaming is to you. If you feel it is childish, then let that belief go. We ask that you just experiment for a couple of days, maybe just 15 to 20 minutes, and simply daydream. During this time we ask that you focus on how you feel. How does your daydream feel to you? Are you happy? Are you enjoying it? If you find you are not satisfied with your dream then remind yourself that you can change that by following what feels happy and exciting to you.
In essence we would like to ask you to let go of your definitions of what daydreaming and using your imagination is to you. We want you to begin exploring all of this by how you feel rather than by what you think it is.
Why is it so important for us to focus on how we feel?
Ah that is a very good question, thank you for asking it. We ask that you focus on how you feel because it is one of the easiest ways to connect with your own self. You understand how you feel and what it means to feel a certain way and so we ask that you focus on purely your emotions while you are exploring your imagination. By letting go of your thoughts and your ideas about what is or isn’t daydreaming or what is or isn’t real and authentic then you are able to play freely and enjoy your creation. If there is an idea that continues to pop into your mind while you are daydreaming, then we ask that you invite it in and see what it has to offer to you. If the idea excites you or inspires you then we ask that you try following it and see where it takes you. Your ideas, your inspiration, they are all gifts given to you by your higher self, the universe, and all of us, when you are open to receiving them. And daydreaming is one way to receive messages since you are connecting with your higher self during these moments.
Thank you very much for explaining how we can use our imagination and daydreaming as a tool for personal growth. Do you have any other messages about this topic for everyone?
You are very welcome, my friend, and thank you again for delivering my messages and following your own excitement.
My final piece of advice tonight would be to ask all of you to just have fun. The whole idea around daydreaming and your imagination is so that you enjoy yourself and lift your spirits if you are feeling down. So please, as you explore your creative minds, remember to enjoy it and have fun. Relish in the happiness and peacefulness that you feel when you create worlds, people and places in your mind. And always remember that you can pass on this creative freedom into your own physical realities in whatever way feels the truest to you, whether it is by dance, music, paint or writing. Explore what makes you, you. ❤
Thank you so much, each and everyone one of you. Thank you for all of your support and love.
