Firstly I would like to apologize for being away for a while. I needed some time for myself recently to find myself again and recenter, and so I put the blog on hold until now.
I thought a nice way to get back into the groove would be to provide all of you with how I begin to reconnect with my self and my guides after a break. I would also like to explain my favourite meditation which I find is very simple and easy to begin with. But I would first like to explain where I’ve been for a bit.
One thing I think we each deal with on a daily basis is trusting ourselves, trusting our experiences, and simply believing in ourselves. While talking to friends of mine about channeling, and other experiences in life, it becomes clear that we all have a difficult time not comparing ourselves and basing our worth and abilities on what someone else is capable of. We can really miss our true potential and what makes us so beautifully unique in our own way. This is one of the reasons why I felt that I needed to step back for a bit to find myself again. I needed a breather to reconnect on my own and to remember that everything I do is for myself firstly. I had promised myself before I began this blog that I would only write when it excited me to do so. Somewhere down the road I began to realize that I forgot about myself in all of this, I began to only meditate unless it was for the blog or for delivering messages to others. This caused me to feel disconnected, I forgot to meditate for my own self, for my own growth, and enjoyment.
I will admit, it can be scary and intimidating to look at something you have put on hold for months. It is for me, and this is just my personal blog. But this is where I have to take a deep breath and let go of all of these expectations and ideas I am holding onto. I have to let go of the fear that I will be judged for taking personal space for my own self. I have to let go of the fear that my voice won’t be heard. Most importantly I have to let go of my own fear that my abilities aren’t adequate enough.
Now! With all of that being said, I would love to begin discussing with all of you how I reconnect with my guides after a bit of a break.
I usually like to ask my guides for advice throughout the day if a stressful situation comes up or if I feel like there could be a more positive perspective to something I am dealing with. This, for me, is a gentle way to connect a bit more with my guides and to begin working on my relationship with them some more. Picking up something after a break can feel a bit daunting, but it’s just like riding a bike – you may feel a bit unsure of yourself at first if you haven’t ridden a bike in ages, but you’ll pick it right back up. You just have to get back on that bike! You just need the confidence in yourself to believe that you can still ride that bike! ❤
Another thing that I enjoy doing is asking my guides to send me dreams, whether it is about a past life, or a current situation I’m having difficulties with. Remember, it is okay to not remember your dream. There have been times where I would have a dream and not remember anything at all except for the feeling I woke up with. If you feel uncomfortable when you wake up – which has happens to everyone – take a moment to just examine that feeling. Remind yourself that you already learned what you needed to from your dream and that you can let go of any uncomfortable feelings you woke up with. Personally, half the time I ask for a dream I end up waking up and don’t remember dreaming at all. But I don’t put myself down for that, instead I just tell myself that I will just try it again later tonight before bed.
Now, your best way to reconnect with yourself and your guides is to simply set aside some time – even 5 minutes works! – during your day to meditate. Just do this for your own self, let go of having an expectation of what you would like your 5 minute meditation to turn out. Let go of your fear that you can’t do it. Please, do not beat yourself up if you find it difficult to quiet your mind. We all have some days where we simply can’t stop our minds from reminding us of all the things we still have to do, even if it is just for 5 minutes! And that is okay! ❤
I’m sure I have talked about these meditations before, but I really do enjoy them myself and I find them easy, especially if you haven’t really meditated in a while.
- Wake up meditation: So here the idea is simple. When you wake up in the morning take 5 to 15 minutes and just enjoy your bed. Enjoy the soft sheets. Enjoy the cool quilt. Enjoy the soft, fluffy pillow. Just enjoy it. Now, you can absolutely just enjoy this happiness for as long as you would like! But, if you would like you can begin to just imagine your favourite job, your partner, your friends. Feel what it would be like to have this job, to wake up in the morning excited to go to work, to work and feel like you are doing what you have always wanted to do. Feel what it is like to come home and feel satisfied, that you have done a good days work and you feel happy with what you accomplished today. You do not need to think of specifics, just let the feelings flow and enjoy them.
- Before bed meditation: The idea for this meditation is the same as waking up. Just imagine and feel the excitement and joy you would by visualizing what you love or would love to have in your life. If you would like to make friends with people with whom you connect well with then you could spend your 5 to 15 minutes just imaging that. If you would like a partner in your life you could spend your time thinking about what that would be like. Think about what you love most about being in relationships, and just feel that. Remind yourself that you are worth all of this love, you are worth all of the love you receive in your life.
- Earth and universe meditation: This is my favourite meditation that I figured out on my own once I began meditating. First you take a few deep breaths in and out, feel the air entering your diaphragm and lungs, feel it expand, and feel it contract as you exhale. As you breathe in focus on where you are sitting, focus on your root chakra, and just imagine roots connecting you down to the earth. While you breathe in focus on the top of your head, on your crown chakra, and imagine your connection to the universe. While you continue to breathe in and out visualize the two energies moving – twisting and swirling if you would like – up and down through your body. Visualize the Earth’s energy moving up through your body with every inhale you take, and visualize the energy of the universe moving down your whole body with every exhale. Continue this for however long you feel necessary.
These are the three meditations that I find works best for me if I feel a bit rusty or need to ease myself back into things. But just as I found the earth and universe meditation on my own, I am sure that you will each be able to find your own meditation that works best for you.
Before I finish today’s post I would like to first ask Kaine if he has any messages for all of you.
Keep doing what you are doing. Continue to be you, continue to be your truest self, and honour that. We want you all to understand that everything you do in your life is for you. Do what makes you happy and be happy. It does not matter, really, if others share your excitement, if they share your enthusiasm, because all the love and acceptance you will ever truly need is your own. Begin to take walks by yourself for yourself, begin to spend time to appreciate your own being and who you are. Laugh at your own jokes until you are laying on your side in stitches. There is nothing wrong with loving who you are and enjoying your own company. There is great independence, clarity, and calmness with this. Feel at peace with who you are, and once you have begun that you will notice this peace will spread passively into your world around you. When you change your own self you change the world you live in.
And so today we would very much like to remind you that you are allowed to love yourself. Inner peace begins by letting go and starting to love yourself for who you truly are. We can all safely tell you that you are all beings of light and love and that you all deserve every bit, grand and small, of love you come across throughout your life. Love yourself as we love you – unconditionally. Thank you, all of you. ❤
Thank you all, as always, for your constant support and love. I am very grateful to have this blog, this safe place, to be able to speak freely. ❤ I am looking forward to being able to deliver messages for all of you again!
