Today I’d like to talk about music and how it can use it to help learn more about your own self. 🙂
I personally like a wide variety of music, such as classical, Celtic/Irish, metal, but my favourite genre of music is honestly hair metal/power metal/speed metal – like Iron Maiden and Twisted Sister. Over the past little while I’ve been exploring why it is that I enjoy the music that I do. Usually I’ll listen to power metal when I’m feeling low and need a pick-me-up. For me, power metal reminds me that we are capable of anything, especially when we support one another with each others’ goals.
Another way you can begin to understand why you enjoy the music you do is to take a look at your astrological sign. I had a lovely conversation with a friend one day, and she mentioned about how you can find a connection between the music you enjoy and your astrological sign. When I look at myself, I can say that it makes sense. As I’ve mentioned just before, I typically listen metal, because of the passion and their messages of unity. My sun sign is a Leo, so it would make perfect sense then that I would look for something with a lot of energy and passion to it!
One song that I’ve shared before, but would like to share again because it’s a one that I believe can bring a lot of healing, is called Guardians of Time by BanDemoniC.
So why does this song hit a soft spot for me? Because it is a reminder that those who have passed over are still there with us on the other side and that there are always there waiting to help us along our own journey in life.
To quote the lyrics: An angel far beyond our world is guarding us through time. And you know that you’ll never be alone in time cause you always will have those who you loved, those who you cried for, by your side. They’re shapes in the night, our hope through hard times they became our Guardians of Time.
Honestly, this song makes me cry when I listen to it. When I first stumbled upon this song it felt like a relief, I had finally found a metal song that explains how I feel about spiritually. But it also meant a lot to me for another reason. My dad passed away in 2007, and before that him and I would talk about music and different bands that we liked. He introduced me to many of the bands I still enjoy listening to, like The Doors, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Jethro Tull. BanDemoniC is the genre of music that Dad and I would talk about, and so this song means a lot to me. Not only does it express how I feel spiritually about what happens to us when we pass over, but it also is a way for me to connect with my dad. And so, I’m sharing this song with all of you, in the hopes that maybe it’s what you’ve needed. Maybe it’s the validation you’ve needed or the messages that you needed to hear today. ❤
Now, I’d like to ask my guides if they could explain further how listen to music can help you learn more about yourself and grow! Looks like Kaine would like to discuss this with us today 🙂
In your opinion, my friend, what is one of the most important things humans should know about music?
Humans can learn how to raise their vibration and find their connection to their higher self and to the universe. How you may ask, is this possible? Easily, I say! Music is made up from sound, and sound itself is made up of different vibrations. Now, these vibrations effect you, they effect the area they are around, and they effect plants, and animals, to name a few. You have learned over the years how to construct beautiful, wondrous pieces of music, each one touches the soul in a different way. You can use this to your advantage and begin to go deeper with your understanding of the music you prefer. The music you most love to listen to is the music that connects the most to who you truly are. And so, with this information we ask that you begin asking yourself why you enjoy the music you do. What is it about the instruments that makes you stop and listen to it? What part of the lyrics elicit the most emotions? What is it about the music itself that keeps drawing you back to you? Begin answering these questions and you will begin to understand your own self even more.
How can you use music to help raise your vibration?
Again, this goes back to the understanding that music is made up of different vibrations. Every thing in existence vibrates at a different frequency, and so listening to different kinds of music can effect your body differently. You can use it to bring healing, such as with the spirit drum Katherine owns. You can also use it to go deeper in your meditations, such as listening to music that was created for the intention of guiding you towards a deeper understanding of yourself. Begin to pay attention to how you feel when you listen to the music, listen to your body and how it reacts, focus on your aura and how it is reacting to the music. Begin to expand the way you listen to music.
Thank you for that explanation, Kaine. Is there anything more you would like to say about music?
You are very welcome. There is something more I would like to say, and it is this: remember that no matter how anyone else feels about the music you love, their opinions and feelings do not effect how you personally feel about it. What resonates with you, is you. Every thing that excites you, your passions, your dreams, your desires, they are all a part of what makes you, you. Embrace these parts of who you are, love yourself for each and every part of you that makes you uniquely you. Let this love spread with everything you do in your life. If you feel excited to create – then create! Write that song you’ve always wanted to! Pick up an instrument and simply play for enjoyment’s sake! Embrace what makes you, you!
Thank you everyone, for allowing me the opportunity to speak with you today.
Thank you, as well Kaine, for these messages! I think it’s important to keep in mind what Kaine has said. We all want to be able to talk freely about the music we enjoy with others. But it can feel discouraging at times if you enjoy a different genre than most people. I can say for a fact that it is not easy for me to find people who even know the same bands as I do! But always remember that there is another way to look at things. Maybe there aren’t many people in your life with whom you can share your excitement with about a band, or a type of music, and that’s okay. Maybe instead you can learn a lot more from it by exploring it on your own? Why not spend some time and work on your relationship with yourself?
I have to say, since I’ve begun exploring my connection with music, I’ve learned a lot about myself. I now know a bit more about some of the things that are important to me – like supporting one another with everything that we do. But it also gives me another outlet to share with others to explain how I feel and experience things.
Before I end today’s post though I’d really like to share another quote from Guardians of Time: “In the night, when the silence’s so loud, hear their voices whisper in your ear, see their shape by your side. They’ll never be dead in your heart and you know that you’ll never be alone in time. They will guard us from above every day, every night, every moment they trace all the dangers we may face. Our Guardians (the guardians) of Time.”
Just remember that with everything you do in your life, you always have your guides by your side, cheering you on and sending you encouragement and love! All you have to do is ask for their assistance and they’ll be there! ❤
Thank you for allowing me to share this with you. It means the world to me that thanks to each and every one of you that I have a place where I can express myself freely!
