Story Time! How I Met my Spirit Guide, Kaine

Hey everyone!

Today I’d love to share with you the story of how I met my spirit guide, Kaine, and how you can connect with your own guides.

I’d like to give you all a bit of background information about myself before I begin my story. ☺ I grew up with a pretty supportive family, where some of my family members are open to the idea of psychics, mediums, and the spirit world. This has helped me a lot throughout my life growing up, especially when I began exploring Wicca when I was around 12 years old. But, if you had asked me back then whether I thought that I had any intuitive abilities I would have laughed and said no, not at all!

It wasn’t until I began university that I started to really explore meditation and my intuitive abilities. My spiritual exploration really began to expand once I met a friend of mine while I was at work one day. He was just another customer at work, but something about him and his friend stood out. I remember that I liked a flower on his jacket, which had somehow led us to the topic of healing, and he had mentioned that he is a Reiki Master. Now, I had been interested in Reiki for a long time, but had never really found a teacher, so this was an exciting moment for me! We exchanged numbers and since then I began attending the meditation classes he hosted. The Reiki training actually happened fairly later than I had expected it to haha but it came when the time was right. However, it was thanks to one of this friend’s meditation classes that I met one of my best friends and Spirit Guide, Kaine.

Now! Onto the story! 😁

The day had been like any other university day: I went to classes, ate, and later went out to enjoy a lovely guided meditation hosted by a friend of mine. There was a point during the meditation where I began to sink into it deeply, like never before. I soon realized that there was someone kneeling beside me…but I knew there wasn’t anyone physically there.

And yet I could see and feel this being kneeling, crouching down, beside me while my eyes were closed. I could tell he was whispering in my ear, trying to speak but I wasn’t able to hear what he said…And then…I saw his face. I instantly felt like crying out of happiness and joy. I felt this overwhelming sigh of relief. I had found this best friend that I had been searching for, looking for, waiting for, my whole life and there he was! ❤

His face has strong, defined features, with short black hair and blue eyes.

It was a beautiful moment, one that I will cherish always. ❤

Since that day I’ve learned a lot about Kaine and I’s connection, throughout this life and past ones. We’ve lived together and been a part of the Knights Templar, we were even trained to be spirit guides together, and he’s the brother of a dear friend and teacher of mine – but those are stories for another time!

I am sure there are some of who have the burning question of how do I meet my own guides?! Well, Kaine and I have written a post called Explaining Spirit Guides where we discuss what and who spirit guides are and how you can begin working with your guides. I would like to share a part of the post today, about how you can connect with your own guides, and you may hear your guides, and why it may sound like your own voice talking back to you.

How can people connect with their own spirit guides?

There are so many ways. An easy one is just asking us to help find you a parking spot. Sure enough one will show up. Just trying to do this in your day to day life will help you gain trust in the relationship you have with your guides. You can ask for a table to be freed up at a busy restaurant. Simple things like that.

One of the things that you can do that may help you all out in such a great way is to just ask to be sent love when you can’t see it. If a situation occurs and you can’t seem to cheer yourself up about it, that you can’t make it through the day without constantly feeling down, ask us to help you. Again we will choose the path of least resistance. So if you are unable to quiet your mind and try talking to us like that, we will just place people in your path that will show you  the love we all have for you. 

How do people usually hear their guides?

Well that’s a good question. Many people may feel discouraged because they don’t “hear” the voice of their guides when they ask them questions, only their own voice back in their heads. But try asking yourself if the answer you received was one that you would normally think of as a possible solution to your question? And more importantly, is this answer one that is of love and support? Any response we would give you would never be one that would say to put down someone else for hurting you, we would ask you to let go and forgive them, see that they are just doing their best in their own way. And we would never put you down either because we love you, every little and big part of you, and we want you to see that love for yourself as well.

So please don’t be discouraged that you are only hearing your own voice talking back to you. Katherine and I have these conversations every once in a while as well. There are times where she will doubt these “conversations in her head” and usually I just ask her if she really thinks she’s made this up, and the answer is no, no she hasn’t. Something that she finds useful is just feeling energetically the voice that talks back, she can hear it as her voice but subtly it has a male voice or energy with it if it is me. Her elf mother on the other hand has a different voice than her own. So just try to feel if you can notice any subtle difference energetically between you and your guides.

Just ask yourself, if you heard someone talk back to you and it wasn’t your voice in your own head, wouldn’t that scare you and freak you out a little? Most likely. So that is also why you hear us in your own voice, so that you can more easily hear our messages rather than wonder why you’re hearing voices in your head that aren’t yours.

Are there any other things you would like to explain about spirit guides?

Of course. We are here always by your side, to help you, to guide you, to show you the love we see in you every single day of your life. We are your best friends, your confidants, your guides, and we can be your mentors to show you what you are all capable of doing. Every person has a spirit guide, well honestly, so many more than just one guide. You really do have a team of spirits working with you, cheering you on, keeping you company throughout every thing you do. 

So as silly as it may sound in your head asking for a parking spot when it’s busy out, or asking for a table when it’s supper time at a fancy restaurant, just take a leap of faith and try it. You’ll get used to it once you notice that we’re here to help you and we absolutely love helping you. We can’t do things for you, but we can help give you that nudge in the right direction or smooth things out for you if you’re having a rough time. So no, we won’t get upset if you ask us to help you with these little things, because we love it. We love just being apart of your lives and watching each of you learn and grow. ❤

There are many other ways that one can connect with their guides outside of traditional meditation. Listening to music, dancing, even cooking could be a way for you to connect with them. The main thing to remember, in my opinion, is to just have fun with it! If you ever feel discouraged, which is normal and happens to myself at times, just try to remember that the way you are receiving messages, insight, or information, is the way that is best for you in this present moment. And if you’re having difficult seeing or hearing messages from your guides try asking them to be a bit more clear and obvious. Trust me, they’ll do their best to make sure you don’t miss them!

Connecting with the Knights Templar

Hey everyone,

Today I wanted to share with all of you a few of my experiences I’ve had since I’ve begun exploring the Knights Templar and my relationship with them. Over the years I’ve always felt a pull towards the Templars, especially whenever I’d pass by a book in any bookstore about them. But yet I never really picked one up, it had felt as if it wasn’t time yet. My spirit guide, Kaine, I always felt and knew is connected to the Templars, as every time I would read about the Knights Paladin in Doreen Virtue’s Earth Angel Realms I’d feel like crying because it felt that it was in relation to Kaine. Turns out it’s meant for both of us!

And so, today I would like to begin by sharing a few things that I have discovered about the Templars and their practices and beliefs.

The Knights Templar may be known for following Christianity, however I have come to believe that they were interfaith and non-denominational. A person’s gender or religious views were each accepted within the Templars. I have found this site to be quite a useful resource, which you can find here at, where they discuss many different aspects and parts of the Templars history and way of life. The divine feminine was honoured and each knight followed their own spiritual practice as they worked together as one to reach their individual goals as well as their goals as a unit. A few of the things I will be talking about today, with the help of my guides, will be how the Templars see their weapons of choice, shields and armour, and some of how they work with Gaia and the grids.


For the Templars we work together in unison with our weapons, shields, and armour. We would not be capable of reaching our potential without the aid of our weapons or armour, and so we pay our deepest respect and appreciation towards them. You may find that if you go to connect with your weapon of choice that a name will come to you, or an element, this is your weapon introducing itself to you to begin your relationship together. There have been many times when a weapon or a person has been out of alignment with their highest self and highest potential and they have caused much harm. We, the Templars, wish to work on healing this relationship between person and weapon. We would like to share with all of you today how you can begin to connect with your friend, because to us they are our friends as well and comrades, and build upon your relationship.

How to connect with your weapon:

First we begin by being in a centered and calm state of mind. Begin by taking a few deep breaths in and out, focusing your attention on the air moving and expanding throughout your body. When you feel centered and ready to proceed you may reach for your weapon and introduce yourself to it. Now, we understand that this may sound odd to you at first, and you may not know how exactly you should introduce yourself, but the intention itself will be more than enough for your first time. If it helps, you may say this in your mind to the weapon “Hello, I am ________. It is with great pleasure and honour that I may meet you today. I would like to work with you, along side you, today.”

Now that you have greeted your new friend, it is time to see if it has a response for you. As we have mentioned before, you may receive a name, an element or energy it is connected to, or simply a feeling of acceptance and a nudge to continue forward. If you feel called to do so, we suggest that now would be a good time to set your intentions for your own self as well as for your work you will begin with your weapon. Once you feel complete and ready you may begin your work together. ❤

Working with Gaia and the grids

Much of our work involves working with Gaia, Mother Earth, and the grid systems. We help maintain alignment of the grid systems, assisting with portals and gateways when need be. Much of the information we gathered has not been lost, but rather kept hidden safely until it is ready to be found again.

How I Channel and Deliver Messages

Hey everyone!

Today I thought I’d do something a little different and explain to all of you how I deliver messages and channel. After having a conversation with a friend about it I figured it would be fun to do a post here about it as well for all of you. 🙂

The first thing I think is important no matter what you’re doing is to just let go and throw away all the definitions you hold about what is channeling, etc. If you always base what you experience by someone else’s definition then you may be overlooking and missing how you yourself experience things personally.

I never considered myself to be channeling until other people started saying that it was what I was doing. I just considered myself to be doing a reading and delivering messages. That’s because I had thought that channeling meant that you were allowing a spirit or your higher self to be speaking through you verbally. Now because I have allowed myself to understand what I do first without trying to find a definition it fits into I have a broader definition of what channeling is and I understand myself and how I experience things better. Allow you to be you first and foremost.

What I do first to prepare for doing a reading/channeling is I sit in a comfortable position and I put on music. I typically listen to the same music every time, and any meditation or relaxing music works. By listening to the same music each time I’m trying to associate the music with being in a meditative state. I also use earbuds or headphones, to cancel out the noise going on around me, but also because some meditative music is better to listen to with headphones.

Then I begin my meditation. I first ground myself and connect myself to Mother Earth through my root chakra and then connect myself up through my crown chakra to the universe. Then I just focus on my breathing and as I breathe in I imagine the energy moving up or down through my body and as I breathe out I imagine the energy moving in the opposite direction. I also like to imagine the energies intertwining and twisting around one another as they work in harmony together to help balance me. Once this is done you can go through and do a body scan, which is just focusing on your body and how it feelings, you can also do a chakra scan as well. Taking a moment to surround yourself with a protective barrier can be helpful as well if it makes you fee more comfortable. It can be as simple as breathing in white light and allowing it to form an egg around you. Do some experimenting and see what works for you. Don’t forget that you can always ask your guides if you’re having trouble finding something that works for you!

Once I’m done my personal part of the meditation I set my intentions. So I state that I’m doing this meditation to deliver messages for everyone/all of humanity, and that if there are any beings who would like to share any messages that they can work with me now. Then I just breathe and wait until I hear/see/sense a being who comes forward to work with me. So usually the readings I do here aren’t planned out, I just let whoever wants to come forth speak and I deliver what they have to say.

For me when I hear spirits speak it’s in my head and it’s sometimes the same as my own voice, and other times it’s not and they have their own distinct voices. Don’t be discouraged if you’re just hearing yourself talk, that’s normal. But I do find that I can sense a difference with the energy of the voice even if it sounds similar to my own, and there’s a difference in tone as well. So Kaine sounds similar to my own voice, but his energy is different than mine and his voice does sound more masculine to me. Whereas my Elf Mother sounds like a different female voice. Abraham Hicks sounds like Esther Hicks, and Bashar sounds like Darryl Anka – the people who channel them.

When I go to doing the posts here I just simply ask the being any questions I have for them. Like What would you like to talk about today? And then I just type. I don’t think, I just write what comes into my mind and allow what they say to flow through me. If I find a particular part doesn’t sound right or needs clarification I go back and just ask them to rephrase it or explain in another way for me so that I can express what they want to say. You may find while doing readings that they express the same idea 5 different times trying to find a way for the person to understand what they would like to say. So just trust what comes to you, and if you need an extra nudge, then just ask them and they’ll guide you.

When it comes to doing tarot or oracle card readings I follow a very similar process. I’ll at times see an image of a deck of cards that I own so I’ll know I’m being guided to use the cards to deliver a reading. Then I either follow a spread that they’re guiding me to use or I’ll ask them if they could show me another spread to use. Most of the spreads I currently use are ones that my guides have helped show me so that I can deliver the readings with them using more of my own intuition. I don’t usually use the books that come with the decks either now as I just simply ask my guides what they would like to say with each card. It’s difficult at first to let go of using the the book, but once you do you’re able to trust in yourself and your own abilities so much more!

But don’t forget that the way I experience this could be completely different to how you experience it. I’m only explaining how I experience things to help give you a better understanding. You could see images or feel different emotions. You could even smell things. Each person has their own way of experiencing these things so don’t hold yourself up to anyone else’s standards or compare yourself to what anyone else does. You’re experiencing things the way you are currently because it’s what works best for you. You’re unique so enjoy it! ❤

Talking about Love: Messages from my Spirit Guide, Kaine

Hey everyone,

So for today’s reading my spirit guide, Kaine would like me to deliver some messages for all of you! ❤

What would you like to talk about today?

I would like to talk about love today. Ask yourself what does love mean to you? You experience so much love each day even though you may not realize it. There are times when the word ‘love’ seems to express too much and too little all at the same time. How can one word represent how you feel when you see a waterfall, or a butterfly, but also how you feel when you’re around loved ones? As some of you may joke, you fight and argue more with your family than you would consider the idea that you ‘love’ them and ‘get along.’ But as I have mentioned before, love is shown in many different ways, so when you do fight and argue with your loved ones it is in part due to how much you care about them and how much you care about each other. You try so hard for them to understand the way you see things because they are important to you. And so, we would argue that this time you spend fighting with your family and other loved ones is also you loving them and each other. However we would advice you to try to see things the way your higher self does and avoid these arguments as they are not as productive as being understanding and appreciative of one another.

But! back onto the word ‘love!’  So what we would ask of you who have a difficult time with the word love is to just let go of the definitions you have for it and just base the word love on how you feel. That feeling you get when you see something during your day that makes you happy. Like when some stranger smiles at you or gives you a compliment. Or when a loved one surprises you with dinner when you arrive home after a day at work. If you are able to let go of these definitions on what is love then you can begin letting go of the beliefs you hold on when you can and do feel love. You can let go of the fear that if you tell someone you love them that they will take it the wrong way or that it’s ‘too early’ in the relationship. And you can let go of the fear you have of expressing what you love to those around you. If you would like to tell people all about the mundane things that made you happy during your day then do so! Remind them to see the joy in the littler things as well in their own day!

Is there more that you would like to say about love?

Yes, thank you. One thing that can really change your life is noticing the things you do that you love about yourself. Begin making a list and writing the things you love about yourself. And it can be as simple as your laugh or your smile. Or about how you get all giddy about a certain topic or subject. Remember that as you love those around you in your life you also cannot forget to love yourself. When you write this list and something negative comes up, just recognize that the thought is there and let it go, remind yourself that you are taking this time to love yourself and continue on with your list. It could be that the things that you dislike about yourself are things that others absolutely love about you. So be gentle with yourself, please. Treat yourself as you would anyone else in your life – with love and respect. ❤

Is there anything more you would like to say?

Yes, as always, there is always more to say. During your day just try to focus on the things that happen that make you happy, that put a smile on your face. And if you would like to, try writing in a notebook all the things that happened during your day that made you happy, whether they were little everyday things or not. Focusing on the things that you love and the things that you are grateful for helps you see the positive in your life and raise your vibration. You will find that instead of being angry at someone for being in a rush while driving that you may instead begin considering the ideas that maybe they are late for work or someone they care about is in the hospital. This is because while you are in this state of higher vibration, seeing the good in life, focusing on the positive and what you love, that it is much more difficult to entertain thoughts that are more negative or lower in vibration such as anger and frustration.

But for now, simply focus on the things that make you happy during your day and what you love about yourself. Making small changes like this can and will change your life in bigger ways than you will expect.

An idea I had while delivering Kaine’s messages was that if you find doing two lists each day too much, you can always just alternate each day. Do a list of what you love about yourself one day, and the next day write a list on the things that made you happy. Either way this is exciting to me!

Letting Go and forgiveness

Hey everyone!

I’m sorry I haven’t posted on here for a little while, I’ve been busy with school, work and some things in my life. Everything is good though! 🙂

So today I’d like to write about letting go. I’ve wanted to write about this for a month or so now, so I’m glad I’ve finally set some time aside to do it! I’ve noticed recently in my life that I have habit of holding onto things emotionally because I want to make sure that I remember what happened so that it doesn’t happen again.  Which takes a bit of a toll on you after a while when you don’t even realize that you’re doing it in the first place. So I had asked my spirit guide, Kaine, how I can work on letting go of these things in a healthier way, in a way that allows me to safely let go of what had happened emotionally so that I can just move on in my life. What he says is in italics, as usual.

Learning from something that happened in your life is important, and it can be difficult at times to do so in a healthy manner. You may hold onto the emotional pains an event had caused you so that you will never forget and never allow for such an event to occur again in your life. Sure, this may work, but it is tiring and not necessary. You need to let go of that hold on that emotional pain. Let go and release it. You have already learnt what you needed to from the event itself and therefore do not need the added weight of the emotional pain. Your mind remembers perfectly well what occurred and what you learned from that life lesson, so energetically you don’t need to hold onto that emotional pain any longer. It blocks you both energetically and emotionally. If you are still focused on what so-and-so did to you once that hurt you and you have not fully let go and released the emotions behind what that person did, it becomes difficult for you to be able to work with another person when a similar event occurs. That new person is not the same as so-and-so, but you will end up treating that new person with the same hurt you felt from before, even though this time the situation could be occurring in a healthier and more loving manner. And so in turn you may not be able to learn the most you could from this situation the second time around. This is why we suggest to you that you try letting go of the emotional thorns you’re trying to protect. You already know that the plant has thorns and that you won’t go running into it again, so you can finally pull out the thorn in your side and continue on.

Forgiveness can be a way to help you let go of the emotional pain as well. But remember, forgiveness is not saying that you condone what happened, that the fact that you were hurt is acceptable and okay. Forgiveness is releasing yourself from that event and the emotions. When you forgive you are giving yourself space from that situation, saying that you understand that you were hurt, that what occurred did in fact happen, but that you haven learned what you needed to from this and that you can move on with your own life. Let go of the fact that someone hurt you, and this always includes yourself, they were just trying to do what they felt was best, even if that did mean that you were harmed. If we were all living in the ‘perfect world’  then no one would get hurt or feel pain, because ultimately no one would want to or try to cause harm to another. So try to keep this in mind when you work on forgiveness. Everyone is just trying their best, living their best, and we all make mistakes at times because we are all imperfectly perfect. ❤

I know it’s not easy to let go and forgive, but once you start trying to work on that, you feel so much lighter. You can accept things into your life that you didn’t feel like you could have. Getting caught up on one little thing a person does wrong in your life can make it difficult to see how wonderful of a person they truly are. Just because a person is late to meet up with you to hang out doesn’t mean that they don’t care, just try talking to them and telling them that it hurts you and you feel as if they don’t appreciate the time that you spend together when they are late. They may not even realize that what they’re doing hurts you. So there are multiple ways to work on letting go and releasing the emotions we tend to hold onto and protect because of painful situations in our life. It’s okay to let go.

Some thoughts about Friendship

Hey everyone,

So I’ve been thinking a lot about friendship lately and I’d really like to share my thoughts about it with all of you 🙂

The connections we have with people throughout our lives are so wonderful. You know that connection you have with someone where you feel like you’ve known them for ages, like significantly longer than you’ve really known them? I love those connections with people! Friendships are beautiful, they truly are. It’s wonderful to be able to be there for another person throughout part of their life and watch them grow and support them through their ups and downs. I know at times we get asked, “Oh, why aren’t you dating so-and-so?” “Oh, is there something between you and so-and-so? You two are so close!”, etc., and yes, it can be a little frustrating because you and that person are just friends. There’s nothing wrong with being ‘just friends’ with someone, it’s just as amazing as getting to be in a romantic relationship.  I dislike the negative feeling that comes along with saying you’re “just friends” with someone at times, because to me it feels like it’s devaluing the beauty there. We should try to take a minute out of our day to just appreciate the friends we have in our lives, even if they’re only in your life for a short period of time or for years. Even if it’s only a couple of months or even weeks that you get to spend with that person, you both still got to share a part of your lives with each other, and that’s what matters. ❤

I’ve just been feeling really grateful today honestly, and I love it! I really enjoy the job I have, now that I’ve started working in a different department at work, I’m able to work with different coworkers and I’m finding it really fun! I actually look forward to working because I enjoy it! I have a wonderful family, and amazing friends. Actually, I really enjoy that saying, “friends are the family you get to choose” because it’s a great reminder to cherish the connections you make with people in your life. I’d really like to say as well that it’s important to cherish the friendship you have with your own self as well! 🙂
