How Breathing Connects Us with Our Higher Self: Messages from my Red Dragon Friend

Hey everyone!

My apologies for not posting any messages for a while. I was a bit caught up with work. But I have wonderful news! I’m going to be hosting a Psychic Discussion Group and Channeling group at The Center in Halifax starting tonight! Each week a friend of mine, Eric, and I will be alternating between holding a discussion group and a channeling session. Sort of like a Q&A where people can ask spirit questions. I’m very excited of course!

With that bit of news done with, I’ll begin the reading for all of you today. 🙂 It’s from my Red Dragon friend, Isadora’s partner.

What would you like to talk about today?

Breathe, little one. Just breathe in and out. We want to remind all of you about the connect that you all have, each and every one of you, with source, with the universe and with every being in existence.

I was wondering, could you explain why or how breathing allows us to connect with our higher selves and be in alignment?

That is a very good question, and I know that you have been wanting to ask it for a while now, thank you. 

First off, breathing allows you to release yourself from the worries and stresses you are holding onto during your day. By focusing on solely your breathing you are letting go of your focus on the other things that are occupying your mind. You are able to just sit and be. And so we always remind you to breathe properly because we wish to remind you of your state of being.  How you feel when you are calm and at ease and where there is nothing else to concern yourself with other than your breathing and just being still and at peace.

Breathing also allows you time to sort of ‘restart’ in a sense and allow yourself time and space to be able to look at a situation in a new perspective. Since breathing allows you to connect more easily with your higher self and allows you to more easily be in alignment, then you will be more open to receiving the messages that are there for you. Again, these messages could be as simple as a new idea about something that you are going through.

Breathing is such a beautiful and wonderful experience. It help sustain your life physically but it is also one of your greatest tools for connecting with your higher self and the universe. Allow yourself time to just appreciate your breath and how breathing feels for you. Just enjoy it.

What is some advice you could give for someone who finds it difficult to just sit and breathe?

It depends on the situation, but if it is simply that a person finds it difficult to just focus on their breathing because of what is going on currently in their life, then that is okay. Our advice to you is to just focus simply on your breathing, pay attention to how your diaphragm or stomach expands as you breath in, and how your chest and lungs expand further as you breathe air up through your body. Then focus on how it feels to exhale and just feel the breath leaving your body. Simply repeat this process until you feel at ease. It is not necessary to do this for very long to understand the purpose of it. You may call this meditation if you would like to, since it is a form of it. But if you do feel uncomfortable with calling it that, then just simply call it a breathing exercise to help you feel calm and at ease.

You only need 5 or 10 minutes to be able to experience the calmness that comes with focusing solely on your breathing. If you can, try to let go of thinking while you do so. You may even find it difficult to think if you are focused on your inhale and exhale of breath.

You are very welcome. Ah yes, there are, as always, more messages we would like to deliver. 

First, we understand that for some of you, it is winter and therefore you find it difficult to go outside and enjoy yourself due to the coldness and the weather. We would like to remind you that you can have just as much enjoyment and fun inside as you can outside. Just follow your heart and what excites you. Again, you can always write a list of things that you could do, be it TV, video games, reading a book, or even hosting a board games night with friends and family who live close by. Then choose whatever on that list that feels the most fun and exciting to you and do it! We would like to ask that all of you try to keep this in mind whenever you feel as if you are ‘missing out’ because you are stuck inside due to weather or unforeseen events. 

Remember: you are in control of your own happiness – no one else. Let go of the expectation that someone else must make you happy or that you will be unhappy since you are spending a night in on your own. If are are alone then just enjoy your own company! Sing a duet together with yourself! Do whatever it is that makes you happy!

Secondly, remember that this connection you have with yourself is also your connection to the universe. You create the world you live in. If you do not like something that is going on, then make the change in your own life for yourself that you would like to see in the world. The Law of Attraction is a good thing to keep in mind when working on the changes you would like to see in your life, and in the world. You will attract like-minded people to you, and like-minded situations into your life. If you focus on your own happiness and treat everyone with kindness, calmness, and understanding, then you will begin to notice that the majority of people with whom you interact with during your day will treat you in the same manner. And so you can use this understanding you bring change to your world.

Everything You Do Matters and You Can Do Anything: Messages from a Dragon

Hey everyone!

So today’s messages are from my red dragon friend. Here’s what he’d like to say! 🙂

What would you like to talk about today?

Everything, anything, and nothing. Everything you do in your life impacts how you view the world around you, it shapes you. And you have the ability to do anything you wish you put your mind to. However nothing is really as important in your life as the decisions and choices you make for yourself.

The second you choose to believe something, you choose to do something, you instantly change the world around you without even realizing it. If you are able to let go of your doubt about your own abilities then you become a person without doubt, you become a person who never doubted themselves at all. Everything you do matters. That is why it is important to try to be present and aware of the actions you take, the things you say, and the thoughts you have. Everything that happens reverberates and effects the world around you. If you decide to see a situation in a new and more positive way, then you are choosing to let go of older beliefs that caused you to feel angry, fed up, or annoyed about this situation in the past. Choosing, for example, to understand that an issue at work or at home was caused not by someone trying to get back at your or to ‘screw you over’ but by a person just trying to do their best and that maybe they made a mistake just like everyone does. You are able to feel happier and less stressed as you become more aware of the idea that everyone is just like you and everyone has their difficult days, their days where things just don’t seem to go well ever, and the days where they just end up making mistakes. 

The idea that you can do anything you want to can be difficult to comprehend at times. You have so many beliefs, limitations and expectations that you have had in place for so long in your life that the simple truth that you can do whatever it is that you are passionate about is difficult to grasp. We want you to let go of all of the ideas that you may not be good enough, that you can’t go anywhere in a certain field all because there are so many people out there doing the thing you want to do. Let go of these old beliefs that are putting you down every time you try to do something you’re excited about. If it makes you happen then why should you worry about all the other people who are also interested in doing the same thing as you? If anything that thought alone should excite you because it means that there are others out there who share your passion and that you can learn from each other. You can work together with these other people and cocreate something beautiful. So yes, we are trying to tell you that you can do anything that you want to do, it is possible to find time to do the things that you enjoy.

Nothing in your life is as important as the choices you make for your own self. You cannot control anyone else in your life but yourself. So we ask that you let go of the ideas that what others do effects you personally. Of course this can be difficult to do with those closest to you. But try to think if you would act this way towards someone you were not as close to – would you try to dictate what they wears, how they act, how they think? You would most likely just allow that person to be their own self and you would feel appreciation for the fact that they are comfortable with who they are and just being themselves. So we ask that you just take this appreciation and acceptance and carry this forward to those closest to you. Let them be them as you be yourself. Once you are able to let go of this illusion of control, or need of control, with others you can be more honest with yourself and relax. As I have mentioned before, making one decision changes your own reality. And so in choosing to be accepting of others as they are will change your world so that you become a person who has always been understanding and accepting of others being themselves. Of course there will always be people in your life who will feel the need to control you, to manipulate your own life and to try to get you to live in a way that seems best to them. But we ask that you do not look down upon them or feel angry towards them, just remember that they are only doing this because a part of them cares about you and so this may be one way they show their love. It is common that with those closest to you that when you become angry or try to control one another that that is really just a way that you are showing your love for one another. It is not very healthy, no, but it is something to keep in mind. Just remember that anything anyone else does is not personal towards you, it is not a statement about you and who you are, as you are all your own individual people, living your own individual lives where nothing matters but the choices you make for your own self as they effect the world you live in, not the decisions of others.

You are very welcome, my friend. Yes, there is. I would like to discuss again the topic of breathing. I understand that it comes up a lot when you give readings for people, that we always tell people to breathe properly. This is because breathing allows you to center yourself and give you balance. Just taking a moment to focus on your breathing gives you the chance to just let go of the emotions and thoughts that you’re having and just take a step back. You are able to better address situations when you give yourself these moments of quiet and peace. When you allow your emotions to have more control over you than your own self then you have the tendency to say things or do things that you would not otherwise do if you were centered and balanced. If you were aligned with your higher self. So what we want to remind you is that you can allow yourself the few moments it takes to find this place of balance by just focusing on your breathing. Let go of the belief that it is ‘childish’ to take a couple of minutes to calm down and breathe. Once you realize how freeing it is you will be able to full release that belief. And yes, it may feel very silly at first to give yourself time to calm down, but just keep trying and you will understand what we are trying to say. 

What are some breathing exercises that people could practice?

There are many ways, but the easiest may be just breathing into your diaphragm, allowing that to fill with air, then allow the air to fill up through your lung and release when you feel it is right. Just focus your attention onto this pattern of breathing in and out and you will be calmer. 

But if you find that focusing on breathing alone is difficult at first, that your thoughts are still bothering you, then you can try something else. You can instead focus on your breathing but also imagine creating a fire in your belly and so when you breath out you release the flames. I have mentioned this technique before,  but is useful if you need something more to concentrate on. If you would like you could also imagine further that all of the pent up emotions and thoughts that you have been having are building up in your stomach with the fire and so when you breathe out you are also releasing that negative emotions and thoughts out of yourself as they are burned away with the flames. 

Ultimately you will each find the breathing technique that best suits you.

A Reading on What to Expect in 2016!

I hope you all have had wonderful New Years Eve and have had an excellent start to 2016! I decided to do a What to Expect in 2016 reading for all of you. My Elf Mother helped me today with the reading.

January: Five of Cups

What we want to say here is that this month of yours will be full of abundance. As you follow your own unique path, following what you love and what excites you, you will find the things that you desire coming into your life during this month. We are always around you, but you will begin to notice us around you even more during this month as we help give you the guidance you seek and ask for. The energy is flowing smoothly this month.

February: XV The Devil

You may find that there are some obstacles and struggles ahead for you during this month. You may feel as if things are out of reach and unobtainable. But remember that you can choose to see the good just as much as the bad in your life. You can decide to be happy and to begin focusing on the positive in your life. You are the creator of your life and so you can change the way you interpret the things are happening in your life. You may feel as if you are trapped in your current job, that an authority figure holds some sort of power over you and so you continue this job because you need it to survive. What we want you to know is that you have the power to change that. You can begin to see the positive in your job, or whatever aspect of your life you feel this way about. And so once you begin to see only the good, the things that bothered you before will begin to fall away and you will realize that everything that you had previously felt were out of reach are right there waiting for you take hold of them.

March: Four of Wands

All of that hard work you did in the previous month will pay off. You will find that through your struggles, obstacles, and lessons that you learnt in February, March will arrive to you with celebration. As the snow leaves and the plants begin to grow again you will begin to connect more with nature, with the plants and the animals. You will feel more sure of yourself, more balanced and at peace with yourself. You will understand and know what you want in your life and you will feel as if you can go for it. This is month to celebrate how far you’ve come so a far in your life.

April: V The Hierophant

What we want to say here is that April is a month where you may find you’ll need some more space to be on your own. You will require some quiet time to think and just be. Time to reconnect with your own self and with the connection that is within all of us. You will also find that you are connecting more with nature, where you may even find that a quiet walk in the woods is preferred over the company of friends. There is nothing wrong with feeling this way, this is a time meant to respect yourself and the connection you have with your own self as well. The most important relationship you have in your life is your relationship with your own self.

May: Seven of Pentacles

This is another month that is about honouring and respecting your own uniqueness. You may find you will make a new friend this month, this person may seem harsh to you or a little rough around the edges but there is a lot of wisdom with this person. You can learn a lot from them if you just honour them and allow them to be themselves and you allow yourself to be who you are. This is also a time of abundance, where you will find that the things that you desire are all around you, easily obtainable.

June: XIV Temperance

This month is about being able to see the balance in the world you live in, but also being able to see that balance within yourself. You need to be able to see and accept all parts of yourself, understand that they are there for a reason, for you to learn and love even more in your life. Again, our goal is to help you love yourselves the way we love you unconditionally. And so this month is about taking some time to work on loving every little bit of yourself, every part that you feel you don’t want, we ask that you just try loving it. Once you begin to see the balance of the world around you, and in yourself, you will then also begin to see the balance with everyone else. Those negative emotions you dislike so much are there for you to learn from. Learn to love yourself and others even with those emotions. Love unconditionally.

July: King of Wands

This is a fun month. You will find you are standing strong and are able to understand the connection you have with all the other beings in existence. You will find that you are beginning to comprehend the idea that you are the creator of your own universe. And with this understanding you will find that you are able to easily and effortlessly manifest what you desire in your life. You have found your center, your balance, and you understand what you want in your life.  You will find that there is a synchronicity in your life, that you are on the right track and you should just continue doing what you are doing presently.

August: 0 The Fool

This is a time for you to take leaps and bounds. Follow your intuition, your guidance, our guidance and follow what excites you. Take that leap you so desire to take and you will find that you will not fall to the bottom of the cliff but fly – we will help you remember to fly again. And so what this month represents for you is a time to take chances and to follow your intuition as following your higher self is what we want to to continue doing. If standing on that cliff is exciting enough for you then just stand there and embrace the excitement you get from it. This month is about learning something new, something exciting about your own self.

September: XXI The World

September is a month where you will feel as if you understand your own place in the world. You will feel a sense of harmony and connection during this month. As you gaze upon the moon above you and understand how large the world is, you also gaze upon the world you have created for yourself in your own hands. If there is a change you would like to make in your life to even further follow your excitement, then this month would be a good time to do it. As you align yourself with your higher self and understand your own beautiful place in the world you can create an even better place for yourself.

October: Seven of Wands

October is a month where you will feel as if you have to stand up for yourself and what you believe in. You may feel as if you are constantly defending yourself and those you care about, whether it is your actions, your beliefs or what you say. In this time of trying to stay true to your own self we ask that you please try to remember that each person in this universe is just trying their best. Try to take a gentler approach to it. Just remember what is truly important to you during this time and maintain a focus on the positive.

November: Ten of Pentacles

This month is about reconnecting with yourself and those close to you – to your friends and your family. There is great wisdom to be learnt by spending time together this month with those you care about. You can learn much about your own self as others during this time. Just relax and enjoy other’s company, and if you need space always respect that and give yourself the time you need to yourself. But also respect that towards others as well. Understand that if someone does not wish to spend time with you that it is not a statement against or towards you, they are just doing the same as you, they are respecting their own self and how they feel. They may feel as if they require a night in to relax, just the same as you.

December: III The Empress

December will be a wonderful month. You will be able to let go of your worries and your stresses so that you may welcome the energy of the new year to come into your life. It will be a time to look back and see all the good you have done in your life, and how you have been able to positively effect so many people you have encountered in your life. And as you realize this connection you have made with so many souls, you are able to spread so much more love and light with everything you do. See the connections that you have made and know that there are so many more connections yet to be made.

How to Manifest what you want in your life

Hey everyone!

I figured that since today is New Year’s Eve that I’d post a reading about how to manifest what you want in your life. My spirit guide, Kaine, would like to speak about this to all of you.

Manifestation is the ability to understand what you desire, know what it is, and understanding that once you let go of your expectations about what you want and how you can possibly get what you want, you can allow the universe and your higher self to deliver what you desire to you in the way that best suits you. Allow me to explain further with an example.

You are looking for a job, your current one may not satisfy you, or maybe you aren’t currently employed at all. So you search and search and search for this new job that you just know that you’ll enjoy more than your current situation. You apply for jobs, you send out resumes and you go to each and every interview and you feel like you’re doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing. So why is it that you just can’t seem to land that new job that you know you’ll love so much? You are trying, and you are working, just as you have always been taught to do to obtain what you desire. But have you found peace in your current situation? Have you been able to see the bright side to having this free time by being unemployed or by seeing the sparkling gems that do exist in your currently unenjoyable job such as the coworkers you do like, or the customers that show you the kindness that exists in this world, or is it just as simple as enjoying the time alone to just think? 

The thing is when you desire something such as this new job you need to first be at peace with your current situation. Once that has happened you can allow the new energy of this new, better job to present itself. If you are always focused on the aspects of your current situation that you dislike, then you will be unable to allow a better situation to come your way. If you always focus on the negatives of your current situation then it does not matter what new job you get, you will find the same feelings of disappointment and disgruntlement as you did before.

So what we are asking you to do, to work on manifesting what you want in your life, is to first find peace in your present life, in the situations that are currently unfolding before you. Than take some time and just think about what you would truly like your life to be like and just feel that excitement. Think about the partner you would like, the job, or the house you would love to have. Where do you see yourself, but in the happiest way possible? If you see yourself happiest making beautiful necklaces and earrings, and the idea of being able to share these things with others truly excites you the most then we ask you to just embrace and enjoy that feeling. As you accept that excitement – that joy – into your life you are allowing yourself to manifest the desires you want. All you have to do is figure out what excites you, what makes you the happiest and then allow the universe and your higher self to deliver your desires to you.

Now this does not mean that what you desire will be delivered to your door if you just sit at home all day just enjoying this feeling of excitement.  You still need to go out and interact with other beings. But aligning yourself to your highest excitements is a wonderful habit to get into. 

Can you please give a quick run down again of how to manifest what you want in your life?

Of course, gladly. 

First: Take a moment to sit back and just calmly look at your current situation in life. What are the good parts of your life? Do not entertain the negative points, we don’t want that as it lowers your vibration and you can become too focused on the negative and not the bright side of things, which is our goal here. Realize that everything that is currently going on in your life has a reason, and that each thing has a bright side as to why it is going on right now.

Second: Now that you are making peace with the positive aspects of your life you can begin exploring what excites you. What is it that you would just love to have in your life? Is it a loving, nurturing relationship? Is it a career in an area that you are passionate about? Is it finding a creative way to express yourself? If you would like a loving, nurturing relationship then we ask that you just take 10 or 15 minutes each day, just sit there and think about what that would feel like for you, enjoy the excitement you feel from this. 

Third: Continue this idea of allowing yourself to be excited by the ideas of where you would like to be in your life. Embrace it. Let go of the expectations you hold of how events will fold out, how you’d be able to find this partner, or this career. The universe and your higher self will deliver what you’re excited about in the way that is best for you. 

Just try practicing this and you will find that you will have a more positive outlook on your life and the situations that arise. 

Is there anything more you would like to say about manifesting?

Yes. If you find it too difficult to take 15 minutes of your day to just sit in silence, then you can try something else. Try just writing down a list of all of the things you want in say a partner, or a career, etc. You can keep the paper if you would like, but we ask that you do not become focused on it, we want you to just simply tuck it away somewhere. Or, you may burn it, dispose of it in a way that feels best to you that represents letting go of your desires and giving them to the universe to look after. 

The idea is that if you are focused on what you want and trying very hard to obtain what you want, you are in turn blocking the new energy into your life. Once you let go of your expectations and your ideas of how things must be and must come into your life, then you allow the things you truly desire to manifest and present itself to you in the way that it’s meant to be.
